Engine Stalling and/or Transmission Leaking

CONDITION

- Engine may stall when coming to a stop
- ATF leaking, dripping

CAUSE

- ATF level too low




- ATF leaks from connector union -1- between oil pressure line -2- and final drive housing at right side of transmission.

SERVICE




- Remove air cleaner housing to inspect described area (arrow).

- Remove right front wheel.

- Using a crowfoot with a long extension an a swivel head, remove the connector union from oil pressure line and transmission housing.

- Clean threads of connector union and reinstall it with removable "Loctite" or equivalent (locally available).

- Tighten connector union to 35 Nm (26 ft lb).

- Reinstall oil pressure line.

- Check for leaks.

- Reinstall air cleaner housing and right front wheel.
