General Information
^ the infrared control module, alarm control module and interior delay control module have been incorporated into the central locking pump
^ the central locking pump is located under the rear seat near the battery. Battery must be removed for access. The infrared programming and seat memory will not be affected by disconnecting the battery. But, the infrared sensors will have to be reactivated, see Page 57-35
^ when removing/installing the central locking pump, wiring must be disconnected and reconnected only in the following sequence to prevent damage to the pump:
First remove black connector from the center violet connection (arrow).
- remove all remaining connectors
- reinstall all wiring in the reverse order of removal
^ always obtain both infrared keys from the customer when troubleshooting/repairing the infrared system. Both keys will be needed for programming and performing some tests
^ fluorescent lighting may interfere with the infrared system. When programming/troubleshooting the infrared system, move the vehicle to an area not illuminated by fluorescent lights
