Central Locking System Bi-Pressure Pump, Removing/Installing

This Bulletin Supersedes Technical Bulletin, Group 57, 91-07 issued 12/11/91

Condition:

When removing or installing the central locking bi-pressure pump (control unit), wiring must be disconnected in proper sequence to prevent internal damage to the pump control unit.

Note:
A warning label written in German which describes proper connecting and disconnecting sequence is located on the side of some pumps. See illustration.

Service:

First:
Remove the black connector (power supply) from the center violet connector. (Arrow)

Then:
Remove the remaining connectors.

Caution
The black connector must be reinstalled last into the center violet connector housing (arrow) during reinstallation.
