4-Speed Automatic Transmission 097 Transmission shifts erratic/hard

This bulletin supercedes Technical Bulletin, Group 37, No. 93-03, May 30, 1993.

CONDITION:

1) Plug connection from cable harness on multifunction switch not properly installed. Multifunction switch corroded because of poor connection.

2) Software for transmission not sufficient.

3) After On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) performed in workshop. system not returned to basic setting.

PRODUCTION:

1) Improved inspection of plug connection on multi-function switch.
