Condition

The flywheel / flexplate bolt torque specifications, listed in the Audi 100 Repair Manual Microfiche, dated February 1, 1994 (W42-544-192-F1), and the Audi 90 Paper Repair Manual - General Engine From 1993 dated 7/92 (W42-552-193-101), are incorrect.

Service

Caution!
Different flywheel/flexplate bolts are used on manual and automatic transmissions.
Always replace bolts.
Always check with parts department for current parts information.

Vehicles with manual transmission:

- Torque flywheel bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft lb) + 1/4 turn (90°)

Vehicles with automatic transmission:

- Refer to Technical bulletin repair group 13-93-03 for installation instructions of flexplate

- Torque flexplate bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft lb) + 1/4 turn (90°)
