A-PILLAR MICROPHONE, INSTALLING

Note
The left A-pillar trim on some vehicles does not have the hands4ree microphone mount and bezel. On these vehicles install a new A-pillar trim having these provisions.

^ pull down left front inner door molding at A-pillar

^ using a flat blade screwdriver, carefully pry off A-pillar trim clips

^ remove A-pillar trim

If new A-pillar trim is installed,

^ transfer clips from old trim to new trim




Note
Illustration 91-A039 shows a microphone assembly mounted in the center of the A. pillar trim. This location has changed and the microphone mount is now near the top the trim.

^ install microphone assembly 1 onto A-pillar trim 2 with two screws

^ connect microphone connector to harness connector on A-pillar

^ reinstall A-pillar trim

^ reinstall left front inner door molding

CAUTION
DO NOT attempt to use the phone. Always register a new transceiver with the Cellular Telephone Company before placing a call.

^ check phone by pressing Pwr button on handset
^ phone must switch ON
