ABS Return Pump Doesn't Run, Tester In Position 3

1. Turn ignition to the Off position.
2. Remove ABS return pump relay.
3. Check continuity between black hydraulic modulator connector terminal 11 and ABS control unit connector terminal 28, Figs. 1 and 5.
4. Check continuity between black hydraulic modulator connector terminal 9 and ABS control unit connector terminal 14.
5. Check continuity between black hydraulic modulator connector terminal 2 and ABS control unit connector terminal 1.
6. Check continuity between return pump motor positive terminal and top, male hydraulic modulator terminal 9.
7. Turn ignition switch to the On position.
8. Check for battery voltage in black hydraulic modulator connector terminals 2 and 13. Reading should be approximately battery voltage.
9. If readings are not satisfactory, repair circuits for shorts or opens.
10. If readings are satisfactory, but return pump does not run, replace return pump relay.
