Read Individual Measuring Values
(VAG 1551 function 09)

Used to check actual values while engine is running

Requirements

^ Check DTC memory. [1][2]Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes

^ Carry out basic setting. Basic Setting (Function 04)

Procedure

- Connect the VAG 1551, Refer to Connecting and Operating VAG 1551 Scan Tool Connecting and Operating VAG 1551 Scan Tool

- Start engine and let idle after checking DTC memory.

- Display will appear as shown:

Select function XX

- Select function code 09, "Read Individual Measuring Values".

- Press buttons 0 and 9

- Display will appear as shown

- Press Q button to enter input.

- Display will appear as shown:

Enter Channel Number XX

- Enter appropriate channel number.

^ Channel 01 is used to demonstrate the input sequence.

Note: Before checking channel numbers 00 and 01, disconnect the EVAP canister purge regulator valve harness connector (then check and erase DTC memory).

- Display will appear as shown:

Enter Channel Number 01

- Display will appear as shown:

Read Individual Measuring Value
Channel 01 Measuring Value 128

Notes:

^ Press the PRINT button to print the current display.

^ The current display will be printed as many times as the PRINT button is pressed.

- To select another channel, Press C button.

- Display will appear as shown:

Enter Channel Number XX

- Repeat the procedures as necessary.

- Press "arrow" button to exit function 09.

- Display will appear as shown:

- Select 06 "End Output"
