Drive Belt: Adjustments
A/C Compressor V-belt (5 Cylinder):
V-belt is properly tensioned when it can be pushed in approximately 5mm (5/16 in.) at the center.
CAUTION:
Bolt A is used for adjustment purposes only, do not leave this bolt tensioned against the engine block.
1. Loosen bolts B.
2. Tension belt by turning bolt A.
3. Torque the bolts B to 22 Nm (16.2 ft lb).
4. Back bolt A out until there is at least 5mm gap between the bolt and engine block.
5. Lock adjusting bolt A in place with nut.
