NOTE: Exploded view shows version without air conditioner.

1 - Fan -"FRONT" marking on outer ring must point in direction of travel

2 - Viscous clutch
^ Switch-on temperature: 76°C + 4°C (169°F + 39°F) ambient temperature at viscous clutch
^ Tightening torque (to bearing 17): 20 Nm (15 ft lb) left-hand threaded.

3 - Ribbed belt - Mark direction of travel before removing with chalk or felt pen and observe when installing. Opposite direction of travel on used belt leads to its destruction


4 - Torque to 20 Nm (15ft lb)

5 - Hex flange - For turning engine by hand with open-end wrench (32 mm).

6 - Belt tensioner - To relieve tension on ribbed belt, swivel belt tensioner toward left side of vehicle with open-end wrench and secure with pin 3204

7 - Belt pulley for hydraulic pump


8 - Torque to 20 Nm (15ft lb)


9 - Hydraulic pump bracket

10 - Torque to 20 Nm (15ft lb)

11 - Hydraulic pump for power steering.

12 - Torque to 20 Nm (15ft lb)


13 - Generator (GEN) bracket


14 - Torque to 45 Nm (33ft lb)

15 - Generator (GEN)

16 - Torque to 45 Nm (33 ft lb)

17 - Viscous clutch bearing, check for ease of movement.

18 - Torque to 20 Nm (15ft lb)

19 - Vibration damper with belt pulley. Installs on crankshaft in one position, holes are offset.

20 - Torque to 20-25 Nm (15-18ft lb)

21 - Central bolt
^ Torque using spanner 2079 350 Nm (258 ft lb)
^ Torque without spanner 2079 450 Nm (332 ft lb)


22 - Belt pulley,"VORNE" marking points in direction of vehicle travel

23 - 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
