Front brake assembly






1. Guide bolt 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
lubricate with grease provided in repair kit

2. Bolt caps
lower cap has routing hook for brake pad wear indicator

3. Brake hose
do not disconnect when replacing brake pads

4. Mounting bracket
5. 25 Nm (18 ft lb)

6. Connector
for brake pad wear indicator wiring

7. Brake line 15 Nm (11 ft lb)
connect to brake hose and hold hex fitting of hose to prevent twisting

8. Serrated bolts 125 Nm (92 ft lb)
clean serrations underneath bolt heads if reused

9. Brake pads
with brake pad wear indicator warning lamp in instrument cluster will light up when pads are worn
replace pads in sets (per axle)
pad thickness new (14 mm 0.55 in)

10. Brake pad carrier

11. Brake disc
repace discs in pairs -(per axle)
before removing disc, remove caliper
if turning is necessary, machine both sides of disc, removing only enough thickness to eliminate scoring
diameter 288 mm (11.339 in)
thickness 25 mm (0.984 in)
wear limit 23 mm (0.906 in)

12. Retaining spring

13. Brake caliper
when replacing brake pads. do not disconnect brake hose at caliper

CAUTION: When repairing the brakes, install all components provided in the repair kit.
