Oil Pump: Service and Repair

Fig. 13 Oil Pump Drive Location:

1. Remove engine as described, refer to ENGINE.
2. Mount engine in a suitable holding fixture or engine stand.
3. Remove oil pan as described, refer to OIL PAN.
4. Rotate engine in holding fixture until opening of oil pump drive points downward, Fig. 13.
5. Remove oil pump bolts, then the oil pump pulling out downward.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten bolts to specifications.
