Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

Fig. 23 Exploded View Of Evaporator Assembly:

1. Vehicles with audio coded antitheft system refer to mRadio/Stereo, Service Precautions.
2. On all models, disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove heater/evaporator housing, refer to Heater Core.
4. Separate housing, then remove evaporator core.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. Seal upper and lower halves with silicone during reassembly.
b. Ensure case halves seal properly during installation.
