Spiral Spring Check

Fig. 1 Checking Airbag Unit Spiral Spring Resistance:

The spiral spring must only be checked after it has been disconnected and removed.
1. Connect multimeter US 1119 or equivalent to airbag unit connector, Fig. 1.
2. Set multimeter to ohm scale, then measure resistance as shown in Fig. 1.
3. Resistance must be 0-1 ohm, if not, replace spiral spring.
