Computer Memory Saver

The computer memory saver tool, Snap-On part YA960 or equivalent, is used on vehicles with theft protected radios to prevent radio from electronically locking when battery power is disconnected. Using the tool eliminates the need to re-activate (code) the radio after reconnecting battery power.
Always separate airbag voltage supply connector prior to installing computer memory saver. Failure to do so may result in accidental activation of airbag.
1. Disconnect RED voltage supply connector marked ``airbag'', located under lefthand side of instrument panel on Coupe Quattro, 80 and 90 models and behind center console on V8 Quattro, 100 and 200 models.
2. Install computer memory saver into cigarette lighter receptacle.
3. Disconnect battery ground cable and cover negative terminal.
