Transmission 097 with modified shifting elements

The automatic transmission 097 with code leters CFS, produced from November 1992, has modified ratios and shift sequences compared to the previous 097 transmission, code letters CBV. The revisions are described in this bulletin.

The modified components cannot be installed in CBV transmissions.

On Board Diagnostic (OBD) procedures are unchanged.

The information in this Technical Bulletin will be added to the Audi 90 Repair Manual - Automatic Transmission 097, at the next printing.
