Customer complaint of oil consumption.
Service
In cases of customer complaints of oil consumption, performing the following checking procedure.

Oil level, checking
Checking requirements
^ No engine oil leaks from any point for any reason, correct first before checking level
^ Oil temperature must be 80°C (176°F) minimum, (radiator cooling fan must come on at least once)
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and let sit for 5 minutes (minimum).
- Check the oil level.
Engine Oil Dip Stick:
- Top up oil (if necessary) to the Max. mark but do not exceed.
^ Oil quantity between Min. and Max. mark on the dipstick: 0.7 liters (0.78 quarts)
- Have customer drive vehicle for 600 miles, then return to Dealer and have oil level checked again.
- Top up as necessary and note the quantity required to top up.
- Report this quantity to the Audi Dealer Technician Helping/DSOM for a decision on what action to take to remedy the problem.
Caution!
Do NOT overfill. Excess oil drawn into the crankcase breather could eventually reach and possibly destroy the Three-way catalytic converter.
