Brake Pedal Squeak

Condition

Squeaking noise is heard when depressing or releasing brake pedal at cold ambient temperatures.

As vehicle interior warms up, noise goes away.

Service

Lubrication of Brake Pedal:

^ Apply small amount of lubricant (e.g. Plastilube, Part No: ZVP 264 103 or equivalent) to end of brake light switch and brake pedal where they contact each other (see arrow in illustration).
