Repairing Rear Brake Caliper
REAR BRAKE CALIPER, REPAIRING- remove rear brake calipers
Fig. 1 Piston, removing
- remove piston by turning threaded spindle counterclockwise and knurled knob clockwise
Note
If piston is hard to turn, a 13 mm wrench can be used on flat surface provided (arrow a).

CAUTION!
Do not damage cylinder surface when removing seal.

- hold piston in front of caliper housing
- insert lip of protective seal into groove in caliper housing
Fig. 5 Piston, installing
- thread piston in as far as possible by turning tool spindle clockwise and knurled knob counterclockwise
- lip of protective seal must slip into groove in piston
- reinstall rear calipers
- bleed brake system as outlined in this bulletin
