B - Three-Point Seat Belt, B-Pillar, Removing and Installing

B - Three-Point Seat Belt, B-Pillar, Removing and Installing - 1992-1994:




1 - Nut
- To remove, remove B-pillar trim, pull out grommet
- Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ft lb)
2 - Height adjustment
Functional check after fitting trim:
- Height adjuster must audibly lock into place in all 5 positions
- Button must return to upper position after every operation
3 - Bolt
4 - Shoulder nut

- Relay mechanism must automatically level out in vertical position in wearing direction after tightening nut
- Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ft lb)
5 - Upper B-pillar trim
6 - Combi screws
- 2.0 Nm (18 in lb)
7 - Lower B-pillar trim
- To remove, unscrew combi screws -6-,
- 2.0 Nm (18 in lb)
8 - Bolt
- 50 Nm (37 ft lb)
9 - Seat belt retractor - B-pillar
- Engage retaining lug and bolt on retractor
10 - Bolt
- Watch twisting of belt
- Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ft lb)




Installing upper B-pillar trim
- Thread webbing into trim.
- First fit trim with contoured button onto pin, then press against B-pillar and slide upward.
- Check height adjustment for proper operation.
