Rear bumper, assembly (Wagon)1 - Bolt w/washer
23 ± 2.0 Nm (17 ft lb ± 18 in lb)

4 - Spacer
5 - Bumper w/cover
Removing:
- Unlock rear loading floor panel and fold up
- Remove screws -15- on both sides
- Remove luggage compartment trim -14- from both sides
- Remove screws -13- on both sides
- Remove screws for securing bumper to wheel housing ~ Fig. 1
- Unclip bumper from guide pieces (both sides) -10-
- Push bumper down at ends ~ Fig. 2, and pull out of guide pieces -10-
- Remove bumper from both ends when taking off
- Pull bumper off toward rear
To install:
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- Guide bumper into guide pieces from bottom (reverse of Fig. 2)
- Clip bumper ends into guide pieces

7 - Trim strip, center
- Removing ~ Fig. 3
8 - Trim strip, left
- Removing ~ Fig. 3
9 - Screw w/washer
1.5 ± 0.2 Nm (13 ± 1.77 in lb)
10 - Guide pieces, left/right
11 - Expanding nut
12 - Nut
• 2.5 ± 0.5 Nm (22 ± 4.4 in lb)
13 - Bolt w/washer
• 15 ± 1.5 Nm (11 ft lb ± 13 in lb)
• M10x95
14 - Luggage compartment trim, left/center/right
15 - Self-tapping screw w/washer

Removing
- Remove Phillips screws -16-, -17-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

- Unclip bumper in direction of arrow -A-.

Removing
- Cover bumper at trim strip mounting clip location points to protect from damage.
Note: Trim strips cannot be removed without destroying them. Always replace.
- Using plastic putty knife, pry off trim strips, as shown.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
