Sunroof, assembly





1 - Wind deflector
^ Removing and installing => Fig.1 (below)

2 - Frame
^ Removing and installing only possible after molded headliner has been removed

3 - Trim strip
^ To adjust, tilt sunroof panel, press trim strip upward until it contacts panel seal and tighten screws -5- to 1.0 Nm (9 in lb)

4 - Guide plate
^ Not necessary to remove with wind deflector
^ Removing. Service and Repair

5 - Socket-head screw

6 - Rear guide with cable
^ To remove, remove sunroof panel and guide rail -9-
^ Remove rear guide from guide plates. Service and Repair

7 - Water channel
^ Do not remove until guide plate has been removed

8 - Countersunk screw

9 - Guide rail
^ To remove, remove guide plate

10 - Guide tube
^ To remove, drill out rivet heads

11 - Sunroof motor
^ Remove in zero position only
^ Removing. Service and Repair

12 - Screw
^ 3.0 Nm (27 in lb)

Removing
- Unscrew socket-head screws on both sides.
- Tilt deflector and remove toward rear.

Installing
Install all components in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- Ensure that retaining lug clicks into square hole.
- Tighten socket-head screw.
Tightening torque: 2.0 Nm (18 in lb).
