1 Brake line
• Brake master cylinder to ABS hydraulic unit, bottom rear
• Marking "HA" on ABS hydraulic unit

2 Brake line
• Brake master cylinder to ABS hydraulic unit, bottom rear
• Marking "VA" on ABS hydraulic unit

3 Brake master cylinder with brake booster
• S4/S6 models have hydraulic brake servo

4 Brake line
• ABS hydraulic unit to right-front brake caliper
• Marking "VR" on ABS hydraulic unit, top

5 Brake line
• ABS hydraulic unit to rear axle
• Marking "HA" on ABS hydraulic unit, top

6 Brake line
• ABS hydraulic unit to left-front brake caliper
• Marking "VL" on ABS hydraulic unit, top

7 Cover
• Install tightly
• Also retains wiring harness

8 ABS solenoid valve relay -J106-
• Starting with VIN ...PN 039 805, relay includes a fuse
• When replacing, always use relay with fuse

9 Wiring harness

10 ABS return flow pump relay -J105-

11 ABS hydraulic unit -N55-

12 Ground wire
• Ensure good contact 13-Toothed washer

14 Washer

15 Nut
• 10 Nm (7 ft lb)

16 Bushing

17 Mounting

18 Self-locking nut
• Always replace
• 7 Nm (62 in lb)

19 Bracket
• Mount ABS hydraulic unit
