Automatic climate controlRemoving and installing A/C control head -E87-
NOTE: Before removing A/C control head, check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory.
- Switch ignition OFF.
- Carefully pry off trim plate -A-.
- Remove 2 screws -B-.
- Remove A/C control head from console.
- Press connector locking tabs (lower arrow) and remove connector from control head in direction indicated (upper arrow).
Install in reverse order of removal.
NOTE: After installing, check A/C control head coding and perform basic setting.
Replacing A/C control head lamps
- Remove A/C control head.
- Rotate lamp 90 (1/4-turn) and remove from holder.
- Lamps -A- for illuminating operating buttons
- Lamps -B- for illuminating display panels
Removing and installing interior temperature sensor fan -V42-
- Remove instrument cluster.
- Remove 2 screws -A-.
- Remove wire connector.
- Remove hose -B- from fan -C-.
- Remove fan -C-.
Install in reverse order of removal.
- Ensure hose -B- fits tightly on fan -C-.
Removing and installing instrument panel interior temperature sensor -G56-
- Remove glove compartment.
- Remove 2 screws -A-.
- Remove hose -B- from sensor -C-.
- Remove wire connector.
- Remove temperature sensor -C-.
Install in reverse order of removal.
- Ensure hose -B- fits tightly on sensor -C- and fan -D-.
Removing and installing footwell/defroster flap motor -V85- and central air flap motor -V70- support tray
- Remove instrument panel, center console, glove compartment and driver's side tray.
- Remove defroster hoses from heater box (left and right).
- Remove 2 screws -A- on left side of heater box.
- Remove 2 screws -B- on right side of heater box.
- Separate connectors -A- and -B-.
- Red connector -A- to footwell/defroster flap motor -V85-
- Blue connector -B- to central air flap motor -V70-
- Remove support tray from heater box.
NOTE: For color coding of connectors See wiring diagram.
Install in reverse order of removal.
