Instrument panel, removing/installing





CAUTION! Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap before working on any part of electrical system.

1 - Instrument panel
Removing:
- Before removing, remove front and rear center consoles and center section of instrument panel
- Remove steering wheel
- Remove steering column switch -11-
- Unscrew bolts -9-, remove trim strip -8- toward rear
- Unscrew screws -6- and remove instrument panel insert -5-
- Remove ignition switch trim ring -4-
- Remove screws -3-
- Unclip cover caps (3)
- Remove fuse box -15- => Fig. 1
- Disconnect harness connectors
- Unscrew bolts -14- and remove instrument panel toward rear
2 - Clamping ring for ignition switch trim ring
3 - Screw
^ 5.0 Nm (44 in lb)
4 - Ignition switch trim ring
5 - Instrument cluster
6 - Screw
7 - Retaining clip
8 - Trim strip
9 - Bolt
10 - Speed nut
11 - Steering column switch
12 - Speed nut
13 - Cover cap
14 - Bolt
^ 4.0 Nm (35 in lb)
15 - Fuse panel

- To remove, unscrew bolts -1- and unclip fuse panel (in direction of arrow).
