Plenum Drain Valve - Checking Replacing

Number: A94-03

Date: June 20, 1994

Subject:
CHECKING/REPLACING PLENUM DRAIN VALVE (Addition to every 7,500 mile maintenance)

It is important that the plenum drain valve on all 1992 and newer C-Class (100, S4, A6 and S6) vehicles be checked for dirt/debris every 7,500 miles.

If the drain valve is clogged with dirt or debris, the valve must be replaced and the defective part sent to the Warranty Test Center (along with a completed warranty parts tag) for analysis.

The time units for the scheduled maintenance labor operations have been changed to reflect this checking/replacing of the valve.
