It is important that the plenum drain valve (see illustration) on all 1992 and newer 100, and S4 model vehicles be checked for dirt/debris every 7500 miles.

If the drain valve is clogged with dirt or debris, the valve must be replaced and the clogged part sent to the Warranty Test Center (along with a completed warranty parts tag) for analysis.




The time units for the following scheduled maintenance labor operations have been changed to reflect this checking/replacing of the valve:
