DTC 16786

NOTES:
^ DTCs "16785" and "16786" are only displayed in vehicles with an EGR system.
^ Recognition conditions for the DTC "16785" (EGR valve continuously closed) are an engine coolant temperature over 60°C (140°F), an open closed throttle position switch, a throttle angle less than 42.5°, a vehicle speed between 43-65 mph, and an EGR duty cycle greater than 50%, an engine speed between 1500-3000 RPM and an engine load between 16% and 60%. If all of these conditions are fulfilled and the EGR temperature signal is less than 65°C (149°F) for longer than 45 seconds, the DTC "16785" is stored.
^ The DTC "16786" (EGR valve continuously open) is stored as soon as the EGR temperature increase in the warm-up phase is greater then 60°C (140°F) measured at cold start (-15°C to 30°C, or 5 to 86°F, engine coolant temperature) and at 35°C (95°F) engine coolant temperature.
