Sunroof mechanism, servicing






Note: If parts of the sunroof mechanism need to be removed, then the entire subassembly must be removed first.


1 - Rear guide with cables
2 - Front guide
3 - Trim for sunroof
4 - Guide rails
5 - Tubular frame
6 - Water drain plate

Removing






- Remove sunroof panel.
- Disconnect battery Ground strap at battery.


CAUTION:
Before disconnecting the battery, determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.


- Disconnect tilt mechanism for wind deflector.
Rotate approx. 90° toward front and remove.

- Remove wind deflector.

- Using adhesive tape, mask off roof opening around front section of sunroof.

- Unclip interior light and disconnect harness connector.
