Convertible top operation is slow or inoperative.

May have one or more Diagnostic Trouble Codes stored in DTC memory.

- Using an inspection mirror; inspect convertible top hydraulic pump reservoir for leaks (see Repair Manual W42 017 197 108 for location, proper removal, filling and bleeding procedures).

If reservoir is leaking:

DO NOT replace the complete pump for this condition.

- Remove hydraulic pump/reservoir assembly and install reservoir repair kit

Part No: 8G0 898 101

- Reinstall hydraulic pump/reservoir assembly and fill reservoir to appropriate level with

Part No: G 002 000 hydraulic fluid.

- Remove spare tire and inspect spare tire compartment for visible signs of fluid leakage and clean if necessary.
