DTC 00549 Consumption signal

- Connect test box VAG 1598 with adapter cable VAG 1598-5 only to wiring harness 55-pin plug. Refer to Connecting VAG 1598 Pin Out Box.

- Pull plug off of Motronic control module (J 220).

- Check wire between socket 21 of transmission control module and contact 32 of Motronic control module for open or short circuit using wiring diagram.

- If no short or open circuit is found, replace Motronic control module.
