With Scan Tool VAG 1551

Scan Tool VAG 1551, connecting

- remove carpet from passenger side footwell

- Switch ignition OFF.




- Connect adapter harness VAG 1551/1 to Data Link Connectors (DLC) on relay panel in passenger side footwell as follows:
^ Black test lead to diagnostic connector 1
^ White test lead to diagnostic connector 5

NOTE: The blue test lead is not used during Airbag II OBD.

- Connect adapter harness VAG 1551/1 to VAG 1551 Scan Tool.

1) Operating modes 1 and 2 appear alternately.

NOTE:
^ Additional operating instructions can be printed out by pressing the HELP button.
^ Pressing the -> button advances through the 0DB program.
