ROAM CHARACTERISTICS, CHECKING




The roam characteristics of the phone can be changed to allow the type of service provided (non-wireline A, or wireline b) to be programmed and in what preference.

Complaints of the "NoSvc" light or "Roam" light illuminating constantly can be the result of incorrect or undesirable roam characteristics.

Check roam characteristics as follows:

^ turn telephone ON

^ press "Rcl" and "*" buttons

^ current roam selection displayed

Note
Five roam selections are available: standard (Ab or bA), inverted (bA or Ab), home, non-wireline only, and wireline only.

^ press "*" button repeatedly to advance through the selections

^ press "Sto", button to enter desired choice (Standard)

Note
The best telephone performance is usually obtained with the Standard roam selection setting. Set roam selection to Standard, unless otherwise preferred by customer.
