Rear wheel bearing housing, servicing1 - Wheel bearing housing
Bearing seat should not be greased before pressing in bearing
After installing, check wheel alignment
Shipped as replacement part with hole for mounting sleeve and ABS wheel speed sensor
2 - Mounting sleeve
Coat with brake cylinder paste before installing
Press as far as possible into wheel bearing housing
3 - ABS wheel speed sensor
Pull out to remove
Press in by hand up as far as possible
4 - Bonded rubber bushing

Always replace both halves

Note: VW519 must press only on the bearing inner race.

Larger inner diameter of wheel bearing faces wheel hub.
- Press in wheel bearing -A- up to stop.
Note: Use commercial separation tool, e.g. Kukko 15-17.
- Attach separation tool in groove of bearing inner race.
- Tighten with spindle.

- Position support 3292/1 on bonded rubber bushing.
- Slide tool 3292 over support 3292/1 and into position.
- Tighten threaded spindle as far as possible.
Both jaws of tool 3292 must fit between bushing and wheel bearing housing.
Fig. 8 Pulling out bushing from wheel bearing housing:
- Center crossbar 3292/2 and lighten securely to support 3292/1 with hex bolts.
- Pull out bushing by threading in spindle of crossbar 3292/2 (arrow).
Fig. 9 Installing bushing in wheel bearing housing:
- Place one half of bonded rubber bushing on each side of at right angle of wheel bearing housing.
- Attach 3293/3 on both sides of bushing and turn threaded spindle until bushing halves are pressed in fully.
