A VAG 1551 Scan Tool, or equivalent tool, is required to read Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's).

NOTE: Audi does not provide procedures for reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) without the use of the VAG 1551 Scan Tool.
