Improving Paint Finish - Reducing swirl marks and fine scratches.

New vehicles that have paint swirl marks or light scratches from polishing or cleaning, can be significantly improved without the use of harsh polishing compounds and high speed buffing.
Warning
Before using any chemicals or cleaning compounds, carefully read all of the cautions and medical information on the container.
The following 3 steps must be followed IN SEQUENCE to ensure the greatest margin of paint surface improvement.
1. Wash vehicle using a mild automotive detergent and hand dry.
Caution
Do not wash or dry vehicle in direct sunlight Rapid water/soap solution evaporation may form "water spots" on the paint surface.
2. Apply 3M Imperial Hand Glaze (3M Part No. 051131-05990) or equivalent. Follow all manufacturers instructions regarding use of product.
a. Shake container well before using
b. Apply to a clean, soft, dry cloth and spread uniformly over all painted surfaces.
c. After the glaze has completely dried, wipe off with a clean, soft, dry cloth and polish by hand to a high luster. Turn cloth at regular intervals.
3. Apply 3M Premium Liquid Wax (3M Part No. 051131-06005) or equivalent. Follow all manufacturers instructions regarding use of product.
a. Apply wax to a panel size area (door, fender etc.) using a firm circular motion.
b. Allow to dry to a haze and polish by hand using clean dry cheese cloth.
