Sunroof / Moonroof

SUNROOF



Notes:
-All screws and bolts on the subassembly have a lock device (wedge).

-Only height adjustment nut -4- at the front should also be locked using D 000 600.

-Cable drive mounting bolts have a locking compound on their threads.






1 - Sunroof panel

Self-locking
6 Nm (53 in. lb.)

4 - Front height adjustment nut

Lock threads with D 000 600

5 - Rear roof panel fastener (height adjustment)

Countersunk screw with captive washer:
4.5 Nm (40 in. lb.)

6 - Roof panel hinge
Replacing leaf spring and rubber spring Sunroof / Moonroof Panel

7 - Countersunk screw
Self-locking
1 Nm (9 in. lb.)

8 - Wind deflector
Open roof panel toward rear and unscrew wind deflector

9 - Noise seal
When installing, bond centered between marks on front roof channel

10 - Sunroof panel trim
Removing and installing Service and Repair
Includes the following parts:
Trim
Guide rails
Rear guides with cables
Front guide
Water drain plate
Guide plates
Tubular guides for cables
Tubular frame

11 - Stop bracket
Riveted

12 - Raised countersunk screw with captive washer
Self-locking
1 Nm (9 in. lb.)

13 - Countersunk screw
Self-locking
1 Nm (9 in. lb.)

14 - Water drain plate
Only remove together with sunroof panel trim
Water deflector lip on rear flange

15 - Rear guide with cable (1 part)
Only replace in pairs Replacing Rear Guides With Cables
Oil cables
Clean guide rails

After installing:
- Open roof panel toward rear
- Spray rear guides and guide rails with silicone spray
- Open and close roof panel several times, then lightly wipe guide rails

16 - Guide plate
Can only be removed together with tilt mechanism
Replacing Sunroof / Moonroof Lift Mechanism
If sticky: grease guide plates

17 - Tilt mechanism
Can only be removed together with guide plates
Replacing

18 - Front guide
Can only be removed together with entire subassembly
When installed, front guide is "automatically" pre-tensioned by offset design (for noise reduction)

19 - Trim for sunroof
Can only be removed together with entire subassembly

20 - Retaining clips
Before installing, check trim and realign if necessary
