Resetting the Airbag Warning Light

After switching the ignition "ON", the airbag warning light will light for approximately ten seconds while the system goes through an electronic test cycle. The system is ready when the warning light goes out.

- If the warning light fails to go out there is a fault in the system. Refer to "Air Bag Systems : System Diagnosis" Testing and Inspection

- If the warning light never comes on and the warning light bulb is OK, there is a fault in the system. Refer to "Air Bag Systems : System Diagnosis" Testing and Inspection


Note: There is no manual reset procedure for the airbag warning light. All faults must be corrected in order for the warning light to go out after the ten second test cycle.
