B - Three-Point Seat Belt, B-Pillar, Removing and Installing

Three-Point Seat Belt, B-Pillar, Removing and Installing - From 1995:




1 - Nut
- To remove, remove B-pillar trim, pull out grommet.
- Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ft lb)
2 - Height adjustment
- After installation of trim, check for proper functioning
- Height adjustment must audibly click into all 5 positions
- Button has to retract to upper position after activating adjustment.
3 - Bolt
4 - Shouldered nut
- Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ft lb)
5 - Upper cover for B-pillar
6 - Screw
- Tightening torque: 2 Nm (18 in. lb)
7 - Lower cover for B-pillar
- To remove, remove screws -6-
- Tightening torque: 2 Nm (18 in. lb)
8 - Bolt
- Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ft lb)
9 - Retractor
- Insert retaining tab and tighten with bolt
10 - Bolt
- Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ft lb)

Installing upper cover for B-pillar



- Feed belt through opening in cover.
- Insert cover with button onto tab, press cover against B-pillar and push up.
- After installing cover, check height adjustment for proper functioning.
