SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING

Note:

Antenna is directly connected to the control module, if the antenna becomes inoperative, control module for remote -J276 must be replaced.

If remote control system becomes inoperative, troubleshoot using the following steps:

- Check system using all transmitters.

The system is OK if the base, lock, and lock deactivation all work with all transmitters.

One Transmitter does not function:

- Replace battery in inoperative transmitter.

- Complete function test.

If transmitter does not function continue with next step:

- Replace inoperative transmitter with a new one.

- Code all transmitters.

Multiple transmitters are inoperative:

- Replace battery of inoperative transmitters.

- Perform function test.

If system does not function continue with next step:

- Replace inoperative transmitters with new ones.

- Code all transmitters.

If system does not function continue with next step:

- Replace remote control module J276.

- Code all transmitters.

- Perform function test.

If system does not function continue with next step:

- Check wiring harness using current wiring diagram.

- If necessary, replace wiring harness.

- Perform function test.
