Condition

Loose or disconnected vacuum lines, may cause minor driveability complaints from customers.

^ Engine runs rough during warm up.

^ Lack of performance above 4100 RPM.

These conditions may not cause a Diagnostic Trouble code (DTC) when checking vehicle with the 1551 Diagnostic Scan Tool (ST), due to the Motronic Engine Management Systems ability to adapt to minor engine variations.

Service

To prevent these conditions from becoming future customer complaints;

Vacuum Lines:

- During the Pre-Delivery Inspection check all vacuum lines at the Throttle Body, for proper connection and seating (see arrow).
