INNER OIL LINE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

NOTE:
^ The following special tools and test equipment are required for this work:
3381 - Insertion tool
^ Faulty O-rings at the inner oil line allow ATF to get into the differential, the differential is then overfilled and oil flows out at the breather.
^ Replace a removed oil line as a general rule.
^ It is essential to use the insertion tool 3381 for installing the oil line, otherwise there is a risk of leaks as a result of a bent oil line.

Removal
- Remove valve body as outlined above.

- Use a screwdriver to pry inner oil line off transmission housing.

Installation
- Install new O-rings to inner oil line.
- Apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly to O-rings.
- Use insertion tool 3381 or equivalent to install inner oil line.

- Lightly tap insertion tool 3381 with plastic-headed hammer in order to knock oil line into transmission housing until tool makes contact.

NOTE:
^ The open side of the insertion tool 3381 faces toward the outer wall of the transmission.
^ Do not twist the oil line. Knock in both ends of the line evenly.

- Replace ATF or top up after repairs.

SPEEDOMETER VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR REPLACING
