Component Notes And Information
1 Wheel Speed Sensor
- Same for right and left sides
- To remove, pull out of axle beam
- Before installing, check wheel bearing play and adjust if necessary
- To install, press in by hand up to shoulder
- For wire routing, refer to Fig. 1, below
2 Mounting Sleeve
- Always replace
- Same for right and left sides
- Coat with brake cylinder paste before installing
- Press into axle beam up to shoulder
3 Axle Beam
- Provided with bushings to hold wheel speed sensor
- Coat mounting sleeve -2- with brake cylinder paste before installing
4 Stub Axle
- For removal, refer to Suspension and Steering
5 ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Sensor Rotor
- Drive off evenly with mandrel through threaded holes in hub
- Press on to install, refer to Suspension and Steering
6 Wheel Hub
- For removal and installation, refer to Suspension and Steering

Fig. 1 Wiring Routing For Wheel Speed Sensor
- Install wiring with rubber grommets into brackets provided on rear axle and floor pan
- Connect wire and carefully install in floor pan with rubber grommet.

NOTE: The two harness connectors for the rear wheel speed sensors are located under the rear seat.
