Ignition Lock Cable: Adjustments






CAUTION: The lock cable should always be adjusted with the cable in the installed position.

- Loosen bolt (No. 1 in illustration)
- Turn ignition switch to "on" position.
- Rotate lock cable in installed position.
- Insert 1.5 mm (0.059 in.) feeler gauge (A in illustration) between lock flap and locking pin.
- Adjust lock cable in direction of arrow so that locking pin is pressed against feeler gauge.
- In this position, tighten bolt (No. 1 in illustration).
- Operate lock several times.
Clearance between locking pin and locking flap must be 1.2-1.7 mm (0.047-0.067 inch).
- Move selector lever to "N" position.
- Mount lock cable on selector lever housing.





It is important to make sure that the lock cable is laid in position free of sharp bends or kinks, and attached with a clip (arrow).
