Road Test
The car should be road tested as an operational check, which should include driving the car at a speed of
60 km/h (38 mph) for a period of 30 seconds. If the antilock brake system is in proper order, the brake warning light and the ABS warning light must not come on. If the car is also equipped with the traction control system Anti-Slip Regulation
(ASR), the traction control indicator light also must not come on. If any work is carried out on the ABS hydraulic unit, the ABS control module, the ABS wheel speed sensors or the wiring harness, or if components are replaced (e.g. when repairing brake lines after an accident), the entire antilock system must be checked. The On Board Diagnostic
(OBD) program must be carried out, especially the test of operation and correct connections.
