Servicing
NOTE: For this procedure, use the tools shown in the following illustrations or their equivalents.
1 Self-Locking Bolt
- Always replace
- Tighten to: 140 Nm (104 ft. lbs.) plus additional 1/2-turn (180°)
- Clean threads in trapezoidal arm with 14 x 1.5 mm screw tap to remove adhesive residue
- Tighten only with vehicle standing on wheels
2 Convex Washer
3 Mounting Stud
- Install support and tighten
4 Trapezoidal Arm
- Left and right sides different
- After removing, installing or replacing: check toe and camber
5 Bonded Rubber Bushing
- Pressing in and out, refer to Fig. 1
- Installation position, refer to Fig. 2
6 Flanged Nuts
- Always replace
- Tighten to: 110 Nm (81 ft. lbs.)
7 Pivot Mount
- Inscribed cross points upward when installed
- Left and right sides identical
- After removing, installing or replacing: check toe and camber
8 Ribbed Nut
- Always replace
- Tighten to: 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.
9 Support
- Left and right sides different
- Bonded rubber bushing is replaceable. Service and Repair
10 Convex Washer
11 Bolt
12 Bonded Rubber Bushing
- Pressing out of pivot mount, refer to Fig. 3
- Pressing into pivot mount, refer to Fig. 4 and Fig. 5
- Collar of bonded rubber bushing always points toward front of vehicle

NOTE: The bushing should be pressed in far enough that only 3 mm (0.12 inch) projects, refer to Fig. 2.

- Dimension -a- = 3 ± 1 mm (0.12 ± 0.04 inch)

CAUTION: Before pressing the bushing into the pivot mount, make sure the collar points toward front of vehicle.
NOTE: The bushing should be pressed approx. 20 mm (0. 79 inch) into pivot mount.
