Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

NOTE: If power steering fluid level is low, always check the steering system for leaks.

- With Engine running turn steering wheel to left and right full lock and hold briefly to build up greatest possible steering pressure.
- Inspect for leaks in the following locations:
- Rotary slide valve housing
- Toothed rod seal or seal in left end housing (loosen hose clamp on boot and push boot to middle to check)
- Hose and line connections
