Battery, Remove and Installing

Removing
- Disconnect battery cable at negative (-) terminal.
- Disconnect battery cable at positive (+) terminal.
- Remove battery hold-down clamp (arrow).





WARNING!
- Battery acid (electrolyte) can cause severe burns. When working with electrolyte always wear goggles, rubber gloves, and an apron. If the electrolyte is spilled on skin or clothing, flush at once with large quantities of water. If it gets into your eyes, immediately flush them with large quantities of water for several minutes, and call a doctor
- Batteries produce explosive gases. Keep flames and sparks away. DO NOT smoke near batteries.


CAUTION!
If the battery is not secured properly, shock and vibration from normal use can damage the battery plates, which will result in premature battery failure.



Installing
- Make sure that battery is in position and properly seated.
- Attach battery hold down and tighten.
- Connect battery positive (+) cable.
- Connect battery positive (-) cable.
