G12 coolant CAUTION! label missing on some 1997 m.y. vehicles.
New coolant (G12) (red in color) Part No.: G 012 A8D A1 was introduced beginning 08.96 production.
CAUTION!
G 012 A8D A1 must NEVER be mixed with ANY other coolant. Engine damage will result!
CAUTION

Service
Any 1997 m.y. vehicle equipped with G12 (RED) coolant without the proper coolant CAUTION! label must have the correct label affixed in the proper location.
Note:
^ Labels should be installed as vehicles are brought in for scheduled maintenance. A supply of labels will be sent to your Dealership at no extra charge.
^ Label installation surface must be clean and at room temperature of at least 68° F.
Label locations are as follows:
Label location (A4)
- Install label on flat sheet metal surface behind ABS unit.
Label location (A6)
- Install label on strut tower behind coolant bottle.
Label location (A8)
- Install label on strut tower plastic cover behind coolant bottle.
Label location (Cabriolet)
- Install label on strut tower behind coolant bottle.
