Molded Headliner And Sun Visors, Removing And Installing
1 - Bolt
- 2.5 Nm (22 in.lb)
2 - Sun visor
Removing:
- Unclip center sun visor from bracket - 4 -.
- Remove cover for bolt - 1 - and remove bolt - 1 -.
- Unhook sun visor and disconnect electrical harness connector.
Installing:
- Installation is the reverse of removal.
3 - Cap
4 - Sun visor bracket
- Lift up cap.
- Remove bolt - 1 - (1x).
5 - Center sun visor
- Remove bolt - 1 - and remove sun visor - 5 -.
6 - Sunroof panel
7 - Molded headliner
Removing:
- Remove upper A-pillar trim.
- Remove upper B-pillar trim.
- Remove upper C/D-pillar trim.
- For vehicles with slide/tilt sunroof, remove panel - 6 -.
- Remove both sun visors - 2 -.
- Remove center sun visor - 5 -.
- Remove both brackets - 4 -.
- Remove front grip handles - 10 - and rear grip handles - 9 -.
- Remove cover for molded headliner cutout Fig. 1.
- Move manual shift or automatic transmission lever as far forward as possible.
- Move passenger-side backrest as far back as possible.
- Move driver-side backrest as far back as possible.
- A second technician is required to support molded headliner
- Remove all door seals in area of molded headliner.
- Pull molded headliner back and out of retaining strip at rear window.
- Remove molded headliner toward passenger-side door.
Installing:
- Install door seals.
- Slide molded headliner in on passenger-side and insert in retaining strip at rear window.
- Carefully push molded headliner over door seal (to secure molded headliner).
- Remainder of installation is the reverse of removal
8 - Clip(12x)
9 - Rear grip handle (2x)
- Pull grip handle open.
- Remove cap.
- Remove bolts - 11 -.
10 - Front grip handle (2x)
- Pull grip handle open.
- Remove cap.
- Remove bolts - 11 -.
11 - Bolts (2x)
- 2.5 Nm (22 in.lb)

- Pull cover - 1 - down in direction of arrow, unclip and remove toward front.
- Remove bolts - 3 - (2x) and pull cover - 2 - toward front and remove from clips.
- Disconnect electrical harness connectors and remove cover.
